Wedding Venue Spotlight: Blackberry Village

Newly opened in April 2026, Blackberry Village is one of the latest hidden gems to join the North Georgia wedding landscape, and our team had the opportunity to attend their grand opening and experience the property firsthand. Located just about an hour and a half north of Atlanta, this secluded mountaintop venue offers a peaceful escape for couples seeking intimate, intentional celebrations surrounded by nature.

Tucked into the mountains, the property is centered around a small manmade lake that sits quietly at the top of the mountain. While modest in size, it adds a serene and reflective backdrop to the entire venue experience, enhancing the feeling of privacy and escape that defines Blackberry Village.

A Venue Designed for Intimate Celebrations

Blackberry Village is thoughtfully designed with smaller, more intentional gatherings in mind. It is an ideal setting for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and micro weddings, offering couples the opportunity to host a full wedding weekend in one cohesive, private location.

Rather than a large-scale commercial venue, Blackberry Village focuses on experience-driven celebrations where guests can slow down, connect, and truly enjoy the surroundings.

Onsite Accommodations

The property features two European-style cottages, each accommodating up to six guests. These charming on-site accommodations make it easy for couples and their closest family or wedding party to stay together throughout the weekend, creating a seamless and immersive wedding experience.

The cottages offer a warm, inviting place to gather, get ready, and unwind, keeping everyone close to the celebration from start to finish.

Ceremony & Reception Spaces

For ceremonies, couples can exchange vows in a paved setting overlooking the lake. Framed by mountain views and water, the space offers a naturally romantic backdrop. With permanent anchors already in place, a tent can be seamlessly installed to accommodate rain or heat while maintaining the overall aesthetic.

Following the ceremony, guests can transition to the covered dock reception space, which accommodates up to 75 guests. Extending over the water, this space blends open-air charm with practical coverage, making it both beautiful and functional for dining, toasts, and dancing.

Food, Beverage & Guest Experience

Blackberry Village also offers in-house food and beverage service, helping streamline the planning process and ensuring a cohesive guest experience throughout the event. Having catering and bar services on-site allows couples to focus on design, flow, and personalization while trusting the logistics are thoughtfully handled.

A Thoughtful New Addition to North Georgia

Blackberry Village is a welcome addition to the region for couples who value intimacy, natural beauty, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. With its mountaintop setting, on-site lodging, and intentionally designed event spaces, it provides a full weekend experience that feels private, elevated, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

For couples dreaming of a wedding that feels more like a retreat than a traditional venue, Blackberry Village is absolutely worth exploring. If you’re interested in learning more or considering it for your wedding weekend, we’d love to connect and help you start envisioning your celebration at this beautiful new venue.
