Olivia and Kaleb’s June wedding at Common House felt like a summer dinner party on the Italian coast. Their vision came to life through a warm, welcoming, and laid-back celebration filled with vibrant pops of orange, blue, yellow, and green. Our team at Before the Vows was honored to help create an atmosphere that reflected their joyful spirit and brought their dream day to life in every detail.
Stationary
Guests were invited to a fun and exciting celebration starting with the invitations they received in the mail that Olivia designed herself. The colorful, playful, doodle-inspired designs reflected Olivia and Kaleb’s vibrant personalities. To honor their new last name, “King,” each invitation included a “playing card” featuring their engagement photos.

Venue
Olivia and Kaleb fell in love with Common House for its vibrant summer vibes and subtle modern touches. Originally an old YMCA, it was transformed into a social club in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. The venue perfectly matched their vision for a celebration full of warmth, color, and fun.

Getting Ready
Olivia and her girls got ready in one of the suites at Common House, enjoying a fun and relaxed morning together. Her Maid of Honor gifted everyone permanent jewelry, and Olivia added a personal touch by wearing one of her bridesmaids’ veils. Meanwhile, Kaleb and his groomsmen were on the first floor of Common House in the Garden Studio, preparing for the big day ahead.

First Look
The couple’s first look took place on one of the balconies, creating the perfect intimate setting. Kaleb was completely in awe when he saw Olivia, and a few happy tears were shed, proof that this moment was everything they had dreamed of.

Wedding Party
The wedding party brought all the fun and energy to the day! In a touching twist, the Best Man was Kaleb’s Dad, adding an extra layer of love to the celebration. Olivia and Kaleb wanted non-traditional, candid photos with their bridal party, which included playful shots by the pool table and bar.

Ceremony
Originally planned outdoors, the ceremony was moved last-minute to the Pennybacker Room due to severe weather. That didn’t stop Olivia and Kaleb from having the best day ever. We brought their vision to life with vibrant blooms arranged on draped pedestals, creating a beautiful and intimate setting. Surrounded by friends and family who had traveled from across the country, every moment of their ceremony felt truly special.

Cocktail Hour
Half of Ruby Hall was converted into a cozy cocktail hour, where guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers served by Common House. Signature cocktails like the Whiskey Smash and Aperol Spritz were big hits, and lounge furniture from The Copper Quail created an inviting space for mingling.

Reception Details
The reception was full of playful and thoughtful touches that reflected Olivia and Kaleb’s lively personalities. Each table setting featured limoncello shots, and tambourines with handwritten names doubling as unique place cards for guests. String lights above the dinner tables added a warm, romantic glow, while scalloped plates elevated the table design with a touch of elegance.

Dinner
During dinner, guests joined in the fun by playing the tambourines after Olivia and Kaleb gave their speech. A live saxophone player kept the energy lively, making the meal as entertaining as it was delicious.

First Dances
Olivia and Kaleb had their guests gather around the dance floor for their first dance, with a live band playing behind them. They then shared a tender father-daughter dance, followed by a mother-son dance choreographed to a mix of their favorite songs, setting the tone for the rest of the evening on the dance floor.

Dance Floor
The dance floor was electric! Guests didn’t stop moving all night, with glow sticks in hand, while the couple danced alongside their friends and family. A live band kept the celebration going, creating an unforgettable party atmosphere.

Pool Jump
True to their playful personalities, Olivia and Kaleb ended the night with a spontaneous pool jump. In place of a traditional send-off, this joyful moment perfectly captured their love of fun and living in the moment.
